Cheating on Party Poker
- Advertise as a key feature that the buyer/user will gain an unfair advantage (quite often they even use the word "cheat") over the other players-in other words, they promise to help a player to cheat;
- Their use by the buyer/user is intended to remain concealed from the other players and from the "operator" (i.e., the online gaming room);
- Steal legally protected material (e.g., player identities) that violates International Copyright Laws as well as Privacy Laws.
Party Poker forbids any kind of cheating or unfair advantage exploiting at all. Thus we do not forbid the usage of poker software with which you can gain advantage against other players; we forbid only the software by using which the person can gain the unfair advantage against others. This includes BOTS, collusion, information stealing software, and having the multiple accounts.
BOTS:
"BOTS" are the software programs, which are created to play a game in place of an actual (human) player, and conceal its use from the other players. The companies which are selling these programs are advertising it as a "cheat" programs and promises the buyers that they will gain the unfair advantage over the others.
Collusion and multiple accounts:
Collusion is called the situation when two or more players are playing at the same table and use their combined knowledge about their cards to make an advantage against other players. This cheating type also includes "chip dumping". This is the situation when the players help their friends to gain the advantage in the tournaments by dumping their chips when their friend most certainly has the wining hand, by doing that they considerably increase the chance of winning. Afterwards the winnings are shared between them. This kind of cheating is not allowed neither doing it alone (with multiple accounts) neither by two or more players sharing the information.
Information stealing software:
Some individuals try to use the software which is trying to steal the confidential information about the players as well as their hand histories and other information which could be used to cheat playing against them. Some of them are building huge data bases for the purposes to sell the information to others. Party Poker anti cheat staff is doing everything they can to prevent it from happening. Our first prerogative is our costumer safety and confidentiality.
What are the consequences when you are caught cheating?
First of all - you will be caught - no doubt! That we can promise! What do we do when you are caught? Well, there are several levels of it:
- Party Poker may email the offender(s) and order to cease the illegal activities immediately;
- Party Poker may suspend the offending account(s) for a thorough investigation into the unfair practices' to be conducted.
- As the Final mean, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to close the offending account(s) indefinitely and for all funds in the account(s) to be confiscated.
